Lake House Overflow
What do you do when you’ve purchased a rustic Lake house with limited storage capabilities, and you have nowhere to store your Christmas decorations?
You call 3 Hats Organizing to work through a plan to de-clutter, organize, and when all is done, know where to find your items!
These particular homeowners found themselves with a large supply of Christmas gear and nowhere to put it! As a potential solution, the owners wanted 3 Hats Organizing to use some garage space as a location for the decorations.
Upon reviewing the entire property, we found an area outside of the garage that seemed perfect for the requirements. After some discussion, it was clear that the homeowners were also looking to organize their yard tools, hand-tools, and fishing equipment along with the Christmas decorations. We took dimensions of the garage and the outer building along with pictures of the items that needed to be stored and developed a layout to best fit their needs. After much research and planning, it was determined that all of their organizing needs could be met without touching the garage.
With a few changes to the layout including new shelving, tables, and equipment hangers being added to the walls, the small shed was ready to house all of the Christmas items, which had been placed in bins, tagged with a number, and stored on a final spreadsheet file. This was presented to the homeowners for future use and adjustments. A final layout of the area was also presented to signify location points and general grouping.
The homeowners are excited about the layout changes and the space it has opened up to add more items, when needed.
